George Blekas papers, 1944-2009.

George Blekas served in World War II in the 1st American Volunteer Group (Flying Tigers), China Air Task Force, and U.S. 14th Air Force. As a member of the Flying Tigers, Blekas helped to defend China against Japan. Included in the collection are Blekas' personal military records, newsclippings, Flying Tigers letterhead and patch, a Christmas card and a form letter from George and Laura Bush. Also included are the October 1995 and February 1996 official publications of the Flying Tigers of the 14th Air Force Association, Jingbao Journal.
